Za’atar Roasted Sweet Potato

Make easy za’atar roasted sweet potatoes that are crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and coated in delicious Mediterranean flavor.

Roasted sweet potatoes are an easy, satisfying, and inexpensive side dish. The humble sweet benefits from roasting in a hot oven because the heat caramelizes the natural sugars for a sweet and savory treat that’s great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

But if you're looking to upgrade your roasted sweet potatoes, the answer is a generous coating of Zesty Z Za’atar Seasoning. Our za’atar adds complex flavors that are bright, peppery, herby, and nutty to compliment the sweetness of your roasted roots.

And thanks to our handy seasoning shaker, adding all of that flavor to your sweet potatoes is as quick and simple as a shake or two before you pop them in the oven.

How to Make the Most Flavorful Roasted Sweet Potatoes?

The secret to bold, bright flavor in your roasted sweet potatoes isn’t much of a secret. Za’atar is a dried seasoning blend from the Mediterranean and the Middle East that has a distinct flavor. You’ll taste notes of citrus from sumac, earthiness from oregano, and richness from sesame seeds.

Plus, this seasoning does double duty by adding not just flavor but also a crisp texture to the outside of your roasted sweet potatoes. The result is a sweet potato dish like you’ve never had before!

Where to Find Za’atar?

The Za’atar seasoning that can bring your sweet potatoes to life is available online and in stores around the country.

If you love the dried seasoning, be sure to try our za’atar condiment, which is perfect for drizzling and dipping and comes in savory and spicy variations.
